* Plans for 3,000 brick and mortar AmazonGo cashierless stores across the US by 2021

* c.1,800 Sqft stores focusing on convenience groceries plus freshly prepared, on-the go food 

* Targeting dense urban areas with lots of young, affluent residents willing to spend more for quality food

* Stores will merge convenience grocery with quick service restaurants (QSRs) market 

* High costs – AmazonGo stores reportedly cost over $1 million each in tech  

* 10 locations to open by the end of this year, about 50 in 2019, and then as many as 3,000 by 2021
