Tesco CEO Ken Murphy revealing the one-hour delivery service Whoosh will be available from at least 600 stores by the end of next year.

This service was trialled from a single store in Wolverhampton last May with a product range of the 1,700 most popular items now being made available via the nationwide network of omnichannel stores.

Further evidencing our view that omnichannel is the future of online grocery, with the long established operators well placed to provide rapid fulfilment from their well located national store networks.

Whilst new app based operators can create efficient methods to order groceries from a mobile, it is more demanding to meet customer expectations on product offering and delivery at a national level.
