“Shopping today is an offline and online experience,” Suresh Kumar, Walmart CTO stated, “and [Walmart] is bringing the best aspects of all channels. This is adaptive retail – every engagement is interconnected, frictionless, and exceeds expectations. We are not thinking separately about e-commerce or in-store; we are designing one adaptive, seamless experience.”
McMillon depicts technology as transformative for the already more efficient omnichannel model, making the retail experience more delightful, intelligent, and connected.
