2022 was a strong year for Supermarket Income REIT, as shown by QuotedData in their real estate annual review.
“The majority of the £935m raised by property companies in 2022 was made in just three raises. Supermarket Income REIT led the way with a £300m substantially oversubscribed issue… The total raised eclipses the original £175m target. The company deployed the proceeds into a pipeline of investment opportunities.”
Robert Abraham, managing director at Atrato Group, investment adviser to SUPR says; “We were delighted with last year’s raise as well as the recent acquisition of British Airways Pension Trustees’ 25.5% stake in the Sainsbury’s Reversion Portfolio (“SRP”). Despite the broader challenges facing the UK economy, we feel SUPR is well positioned for the year ahead with its strong tenants and long index-linked leases. ”
